Operating hours over Christmas and New Year 2023-24

Scenic Rim Regional Council advises of the following operating hours during the upcoming Christmas and New Year period: 

Boonah and Beaudesert Offices and Customer Service Centres 

Council’s offices and customer service centres at Beaudesert and Boonah will close at 3.00pm on Friday, 22 December 2023 and will reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday, 2 January 2024. 

Tamborine Mountain Customer Service Centre 

Council’s customer service centre at Tamborine Mountain will close at 3.00pm on Friday, 22 December 2023 and will reopen at 9.00am on Monday, 8 January 2024. 

Libraries, Community Centres and Cultural Centres 

Council’s libraries, community centres and cultural centres will close at 3.00pm on Friday, 22 December 2023 and will reopen at 9.00am on Monday, 8 January 2024. 

Waste Services 

Kerbside bin collection services will continue to operate as normal during the holiday season, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Please remember to put your bin on the kerb by 6.00am on your usual bin collection day. 

Council’s waste transfer stations will continue to operate as normal during the holiday season except for Christmas Day, when they will be closed.  

Aquatic Facilities 

Council recommends contacting your local aquatic facility for opening days and hours over the holiday season.

In case of a major weather event, the place to go for all up-to-date information including road closures is Council’s Disaster Dashboard.  

Council’s social media pages will not be actively monitored during the holiday closure.  

For emergencies which require Council assistance, such as a tree over the road, please call 5540 5111. This line is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
