Each event, small or big, organised in our spectacular Scenic Rim region, contributes to the vibrancy of our country towns and public places and provides something for everyone to enjoy.
Council recognises these events generate waste – waste that could be avoided, reduced, reused, recycled or composted.
Events are also a method of raising public awareness about recycling and showcasing different ways to minimise waste. Our Waste for Events Factsheet identifies steps you can take from, planning to post event to support waste avoidance and minimise litter by adopting good waste management practices.
Council can provide temporary event bins upon request.
