Governance Advisor’s appointment extended

The tenure of Mr Gary Stevenson, the Queensland Government-appointed Governance Advisor to Scenic Rim Regional Council, has been extended until 9 June 2023. 

Since Mr Stevenson's appointment on 9 January 2023, he has worked with the Scenic Rim Mayor and Councillors, its Chief Executive Officer and Managers across the organisation with a focus on governance and reviewing Council’s meeting procedures. 

The extension of Mr Stevenson's appointment by the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning will provide ongoing welcomed support for Council to continue to build on the positive progress already achieved this year.
