QCAT decision confirms decisions of Scenic Rim Regional Council regarding seized dog

Residents may be aware of proceedings in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), brought by an owner of a dog seized by Scenic Rim Regional Council.

On 28 March 2019, QCAT handed down its decision in the proceeding which confirmed Scenic Rim Regional Council’s decisions to declare the dog a dangerous dog and give a destruction order for the dog.

The owner of the dog has appealed the decision.
