Summer Fun A Breeze With New JOin Booklet

Whatever the weather, the forecast is for fun with Scenic Rim Regional Council's new summer JOin program.

The new-look quarterly program covers entertainment, exhibitions and community events and has been delivered to Scenic Rim households and is also available online or at Council's Customer Contact Centres.

Mayor Greg Christensen said families and children were a focus for JOin but there was something for everyone.

"We have plenty of free and low-cost activities for all ages and abilities," he said.

"I am pleased to introduce the Scenic Rim to JOin, a region-wide program to entertain, educate and engage.

"Make the most of summer by getting out and about and joining in."

The program is packed with school holiday activities including Bush Buddies meet and greet wildlife presentations at Council libraries, healthy cooking classes, dance workshops and plenty to beat the summer boredom.

Exhibitions, kids' flicks, on stage performances and arts funding opportunities can also be found in the summer JOin booklet.
