Scenic Rim Regional Council is seeking community feedback on its planning to improve the management of waste during and after a natural disaster.

With a focus on the health and wellbeing of residents and the environment, the Waste Service Resilience Roadmap aims to enhance Council's ability to maintain the continuity of waste services during a disaster and better manage waste in the aftermath.

Community members are being invited to comment on the roadmap by providing feedback on Council's roles and responsibilities, communication processes, facility and service planning and post-recovery actions to increase waste management resilience now and into the future.

A detailed Fact Sheet is available on Council's community engagement platform Let's Talk Scenic Rim, where residents can have their say on the roadmap until Thursday 4 May 2023.
