Break-ins at Council depot set to impact service delivery

Back

The theft of thousands of dollars of equipment and damage to machinery during repeated break-ins at Council's Helen Street Depot in Beaudesert will severely impact Council's operations in coming weeks.

The break-ins have left Council, and ultimately ratepayers, with what is expected to be a hefty bill following the two brazen attacks.

Extra security is now in place at the depot and Council is working hard to mitigate the impact to the community and its ability to provide the highest levels of service delivery to the community.

Council is working with the Queensland Police Service to investigate these matters and urges any member of the community who has information relating to the break-ins to contact Policelink on 131 444.

Council is obviously very disappointed by the audacious strikes on the depot, and the impact of the perpetrators' actions on the community.

More information will be provided when it comes to hand.
