New faces in Scenic Rim's new Council team

Scenic Rim Regional Council's team has three new faces for the 2020-2024 term following the final declarations of the 28 March poll by the Electoral Commission of Queensland being received today.

Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen has been re-elected for a second term and will be joined on the Council team by Marshall Chalk, Jeff McConnell and Derek Swanborough.

Marshall Chalk was elected to Division 5 following the retirement of Cr Rick Stanfield. Derek Swanborough, who served as a Scenic Rim Councillor from 2008 to 2012, has been re-elected to Division 1 following the retirement of Cr Nigel Waistell.

Division 2 will be represented by Jeff McConnell.

Cr Michael Enright has been re-elected for a second term to Division 4 and Cr Virginia West has been re-elected to Division 3 for a fourth term.

Cr Duncan McInnes, who was first elected as Division 6 Councillor in 2012, was re-elected unopposed.

Scenic Rim's new Council will be sworn in this coming week.
