COMMUNITY GROUPS SHARE MORE THAN $93,000 IN COUNCIL GRANTS
Thirty-eight Scenic Rim community groups will share in more than $93,000 allocated by Council under Round One of its Community Grants Program for 2019-20.
Mayor Greg Christensen said the grants program allowed not-for-profit community groups and organisations to continue to make positive contributions to the region.
"This significant financial investment in our communities enhances the quality of life for residents who call our region home," he said.
"Many of these groups bring our communities together through events and activities that celebrate our identity, culture and diversity.
"These funds will contribute to the work of these grassroots groups in strengthening the social fabric of the Scenic Rim."
