Christmas countdown begins as Council marks its calendar for closedown

The countdown to Christmas has commenced with Scenic Rim Regional Council setting its dates for the holiday closure of its offices, libraries and cultural centres. 

At its Ordinary Meeting today, Council determined the dates for the end-of-year closedown to provide ample notice to the community. 

Council offices, including Customer Care and Engagement, will close at 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and reopen on Thursday 2 January 2025. 

Scenic Rim's libraries and community and cultural centres will also be closed from 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 but reopen on Monday 6 January 2025. 

Council's operational works, including depots, will run with skeleton crews from Monday 23 December 2024 up to and including Friday 3 January before normal operations resume on Monday 6 January 2025.
