Town crier EOI

Scenic Rim Regional Council is calling for Expressions of Interest for a new town crier who can fill the honorary shoes of an important character within our region.

The next town crier will be an individual who has immense pride in the Scenic Rim region, has a big voice and is enthusiastic and has a fun disposition to keep the community entertained and engaged!

Town criers may perform:

  • Opening festivals and special events e.g. Citizenship Ceremonies
  • Lead parades and processions
  • Welcome delegations and dignitaries
  • Attend civic events
  • Master of Ceremonies, and
  • Participate in the National Australian Town Criers Championships.

How to apply

Any potential applicant must send a letter of application with information detailing why they would like this role and be suitable as the next town crier.
