Australia Day Award Nominees: Peak Crossing State School

Peak Crossing State School's 150th anniversary celebration in 2021 really took the cake, drawing more than 1500 people to the #ScenicRim from across Queensland.

The event not only brought together the school and wider community, including the school's most senior past pupil Joan Bradshaw, it also went on to win the Outstanding Community Event of the Year in this year's Scenic Rim Australia Day Awards.

Nominations are NOW OPEN for Council's 2023 Australia Day Awards, to be presented in four categories - Citizen of the Year (16-30), Citizen of the Year (31-65), Citizen of the Year (31-65) Citizen of the Year (65+ years) and Community Event of the Year.
