Industry accolades continue for Council's Vibrant and Active Towns and Villages initiative, with the contractor responsible for building the Scenic Rim's newest park lauded for its work on the project.

Naturform Pty Ltd, which constructed Rhoda Rushbrook Park on Tamborine Mountain's Gallery Walk earlier this year, was recognised for the gateway project at the recent Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards.

Mayor Greg Christensen said the achievement was yet another feather in the cap for the Vibrant and Active Towns and Villages initiative.

"We've seen the outcomes of our town centre master planning process recognised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects as the nation's best example of landscape planning and now the built form of this initiative is also being recognised by industry leaders," he said.

"This is another great outcome for the region and speaks to the quality of the work which is being delivered to revitalise, renew and re-energise our public spaces. I congratulate Naturform Pty Ltd on their efforts and achievement."

Cr Christensen said Naturform Pty Ltd had also been engaged by Council to construct the Village Greens stages of the Main Street town centre master plan for Tamborine Mountain.

"If people want to assess the standard of what is be delivered through the Village Greens project, they need only take a look at Rhonda Rushbrook Park, which has completely redefined the southern end of Gallery Walk," he said.
