National Recycling Week 2024
Join the Cycle for National Recycling Week!
From 11 to 17 November 2024, Council is excited to participate in National Recycling Week. This annual event highlights the importance of recycling and waste reduction in our community.
Council is proud to collaborate with Planet Ark, one of Australia’s most trusted non-profit environmental organisations. Together, we aim to promote recycling best practices, reduce waste and contamination and encourage sustainable actions at home, work and in the community—paving the way for a circular economy in Australia.
'Join the Cycle' and get involved with our local initiatives to help make a positive impact.
Garage Sale Trail
Bookending National Recycling Week is the annual Garage Sale Trail, featuring two massive weekends of second-hand sales on 9 -10 November and 16 - 17 November.
Supported by Council, this community initiative promotes waste education and encourages the buying and selling of pre-loved items to support a circular local economy.
