Mayor Greg Christensen with 10 Point Advocacy Plan

As we lead in to Saturday's State General Election, local candidates have provided their feedback on initiatives outlined in the Scenic Rim's 10 Point Advocacy Plan.

Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen said he appreciated the opportunity to meet with local candidates and hear their thoughts.

"Through a series of meetings, I've been pleased to hear their views on some of the top issues that fall under the State Government's responsibility," he said.

"Many of the candidates have been quite open in their feedback and genuinely support the region's future prosperity.

"Our 10 Point Advocacy Plan focuses on key areas including investment in critical transport connectivity on State-controlled roads, better access to public transport and equal access to Queensland Government grant funding.

"While there are many things we could have advocated for, we prioritised to 10 strategic issues that will help support economic growth and improve liveability for our residents."
