Beaudesert cleans up with new car wash

Council has approved the development of a new car wash facility at Beaudesert's Oakland Estate.

Planning and Development Committee chair Cr Rick Stanfield said the car wash would be located in the Oakland Estate convenience centre precinct opposite the existing service station.

"The drive-thru facility will be located off Oakland Way will comprise three self-service car wash bays, one automated wash bay, two vacuum bays, associated mechanical plant and a small office," he said .

Cr Stanfield said the proposed business activity complemented the existing and planned commercial, retail, educational and residential mix of development at Oakland Estate.

"It will create local jobs and provide a service which would be seen as a benefit to the local economy."
