Catch the Wave of Free Fun at Local Pools

There's no need to splash the cash this summer with free pool parties at Scenic Rim locations creating waves of excitement.

With a scorching summer on the weather radar, Council is planning free family fun days to keep the kids cool and entertained with neon pool tubes, games, music, and giveaways.

Mayor Greg Christensen encouraged Scenic Rim residents to take the plunge and make the most of the free events during January and early February.

"These free events take place at just the right time, with families feeling the pinch of expenses following Christmas and the lead-up to back-to-school," he said.

"With free entry, families can enjoy a range of activities and entertainment without having to break the bank."

Make a splash at Canungra Pool on Saturday 13 January from 1pm to 4pm. The fun continues at Tamborine Mountain Pool on Saturday 20 January from 1pm to 4pm.

On Australia Day Beaudesert Pool will be fair dinkum fun with celebrations from 10am to 2pm on Friday 26 January. It's fun central at Boonah on Saturday 3 February from 1pm to 4pm.

"Remember to be sun smart when having fun outdoors by staying hydrated, wearing a hat and sunglasses, and applying sunscreen throughout the day," Cr Christensen said.
